This hiking route is located in a beautiful area with stunning natural landscapes. The route is an out-and-back type, leading to the picturesque Lac du Mont Coua.

As you start your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find Parking P0, a convenient parking spot to leave your vehicle. Further along, after about 0.15 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Parking P1, another parking option with 24/7 opening hours.

Approximately 0.68 kilometers into the hike, you will pass by Parking P2, which also offers 24/7 parking with a fee. If you need a rest or wish to enjoy a picnic, there is a shelter located 0.51 kilometers from the trail.

As you continue your trek, you will reach Lac de la Chambre at around 4.35 kilometers from the start. This beautiful water body is a great spot to pause and take in the tranquil surroundings. Further ahead, at about 6.41 kilometers, you will come across the Lacs du Borgne, another scenic water feature to admire.

At the midway point of 13.09 kilometers, you will find Refuge du Saut, an alpine hut where you can take a break and maybe even spend the night. Additionally, there is a picnic site nearby, just 13.12 kilometers into the hike.

The trail is approximately 34.2 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 2095 meters, making it an extremely difficult route. It is essential to carry an ample water supply and snacks, as well as check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging hike.
