This extremely difficult hiking route takes you on a 33.425-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 2028 meters through the stunning Passage des Eaux Noires area.

As you begin your hike, you will pass by Parking P1, where you can park your vehicle before embarking on this challenging adventure. Along the way, you will encounter various points of interest such as Lac de la Chambre, Lacs du Borgne, Lac des Fées, and Lac du Montaulever. These beautiful water bodies offer serene spots to rest and take in the surrounding natural beauty.

For those in need of shelter or facilities, you will find options like Refuge du Saut and various picnic sites scattered along the trail. It's important to note that some of these facilities may be off the main trail, so plan your breaks accordingly.

As you continue on the trail, you'll pass by restaurants like La Paillote and Le Tivoli, where you can refuel and recharge before tackling the next leg of your journey. Be sure to carry an ample water supply and check the weather forecast before starting, as the challenging terrain and length of this hike require proper preparation.

The route is an out-and-back type, so you will retrace your steps on the way back, giving you a chance to see the landscape from a different perspective.
