This challenging out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Ibón Gran de Barbaricia in the beautiful natural surroundings of the area.

You will start your journey at the parking lot, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on the trail. Along the way, you will pass by the Collado de Sahún, a picturesque saddle offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Further along the trail, at the beginning, you will come across the Cabana del Puerto wilderness hut, providing a possible resting spot for hikers.

As you continue on the trail, you will reach the Ibón Chico, a smaller water feature compared to the main destination of Ibón Gran de Barbaricia. This serene spot is located midway through the hike, offering a peaceful setting for a break. Further ahead, you will reach the Ibón Gran de Barbaricia itself, a breathtaking alpine lake surrounded by picturesque scenery. This is the highlight of the hike and a perfect spot for taking in the beauty of nature.

Throughout the hike, be sure to stay hydrated and bring enough water, as the trail covers a distance of 9.577 kilometers with an elevation gain of 304 meters. The duration of the hike is approximately 2 hours and 58 minutes, so it is important to be prepared for a long and challenging hike.
