This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you through the stunning natural beauty of GR 11.2 - Presa de Millares Alto (Ibón de Leners). The trail covers a distance of approximately 14.942 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1190.0 meters, so be prepared for a challenging but rewarding trek.
Starting at the parking area, you will embark on your journey surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across several points of interest. Midway through your hike, you will find the Ibón Pixon, a picturesque water feature located at a distance of 3.74 kilometers from the start. Take a moment to rest and soak in the tranquility of the surroundings.
Continuing on, you will encounter the Ibón d'es Luceros at around 4.97 kilometers from the start. This serene lake offers a perfect spot to pause for a snack and enjoy the peaceful ambiance. Further along the trail, you will pass by Camping El Forcallo, a convenient camping site located just 0.26 kilometers from the start, offering a place to relax and refuel.
Throughout the hike, you will also encounter various water sources, providing ample opportunities to refill your water bottles and stay hydrated. Make sure to bring enough water for the journey, as well as snacks and a packed lunch to keep your energy up.
As you approach the turnaround point of the hike, you will be treated to stunning peak views, including Tozal de Castellazo and Pico la Solana. Take your time to enjoy the panoramic vistas before heading back along the trail.
