This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with a variety of natural attractions. The trail is an out-and-back type, with the destination being the stunning Ibón Chico de Perramó.
The journey starts at Parking de La Espiganosa, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on the trek. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across several points of interest. Approximately 0.03 kilometers from the start, you'll find the historic Fundición del Freixenal. Further along, at around 0.18 kilometers, there is the Gruta fundición cave entrance.
As you continue your hike, at approximately 0.26 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter the impressive Cascada de la Espigantosa waterfall, a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the view. Moving forward, at around 1.71 kilometers, there is a refreshing spring named La Baseta, where you can refill your water bottle.
The trail becomes more challenging as you approach the peaks in the area. At 3.38 kilometers, you'll find a peak with a distance of 49.57 meters from the trail, offering a panoramic view of the surroundings. Another peak is located at 3.45 kilometers from the start, with a distance of 176.49 meters from the trail.
For those interested in history, there are ruins to explore at 0.03 kilometers and 0.03 kilometers from the start, respectively.
The destination, Ibón Chico de Perramó, is approximately 6.22 kilometers from the start of the trail. This picturesque location is worth the effort and offers a peaceful setting to relax before heading back.
With a total distance of 12.995 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1450.0 meters, this hike is considered extremely difficult and suitable for experienced hikers. Make sure to bring an adequate water supply, snacks, and check the weather forecast before setting out on this adventure.
