This extremely difficult hiking route takes you on a 12.071-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 1375 meters to reach the peak of Le Dôme. The trail starts at the Abbaye cistercienne du Valcroissant, a historic monastery located at the beginning of the route. Make sure to explore the abbey before embarking on your hike.
As you make your way along the trail, you will come across the Carrière de meules à grains, an interesting site showcasing ancient grain millstones, located 2.52 kilometers from the start. Further along, at the 2.01-kilometer mark, you will find the Fontaine de Juillet, a natural spring where you can refill your water bottle.
Midway through the hike, you will encounter the peak of Le Dôme, standing majestically at 6.04 kilometers from the start. Take a moment to enjoy the panoramic views before continuing on your journey.
