This extremely difficult 12.071-kilometer hiking route will take you to the majestic Le Dôme peak in a beautiful natural setting. The trail starts at a parking area and takes you past the Abbaye cistercienne du Valcroissant, a historic monastery that you can visit at the beginning of your hike. As you make your way towards Le Dôme, you'll come across the Carrière de meules à grains, an interesting spot with informational signage about grain millstones. Along the way, you'll also pass by the Fontaine de Juillet, a refreshing spring where you can rest and refill your water supply.
The trail is challenging, with an elevation gain of 1375.0 meters, so make sure to come prepared with plenty of water, snacks, and appropriate hiking gear.
