This hiking route takes you to the Bergerie des Chaumailloux in the Vercors region. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 3.432 kilometers and an elevation gain of 415 meters, making it of moderate difficulty.

As you start your hike, you will pass by the parking area at the beginning of the trail. About 0.07 kilometers into your hike, you will come across Les Fourchaux, an information point. Further along the trail at 1.15 kilometers, you will see the historic Croix métal wayside cross.

Midway through your hike at 1.5 kilometers, you will find the Grotte des Résistants, a cave entrance that adds an interesting touch to your journey. As you continue onwards, at 1.72 kilometers, you will encounter the water source, Source des Chamailloux.

At 1.62 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Nécropole nationale du Pas de l'Aiguille memorial. And at the same distance, 1.72 kilometers, you will have the option to explore the Wilderness Hut, Refuge de Chaumailloux.
