This hiking route takes you through the scenic area around South American Animals on West 10 Mile Road. The trail is an out-and-back type with a total distance of 2.212 kilometers and an elevation gain of 0 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
As you start your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the trail. At the beginning of the hike, you will find a parking area just 0.37 kilometers from the start. Further along, at about 0.67 kilometers from the start, there is a fast-food joint called Boardwalk Station where you can grab a quick bite to eat.
Continuing on, at the 0.86 kilometer mark, you will encounter the Jane and Frank Warchol Beaver Habitat, an attraction that offers a unique wildlife experience. Nearby, at the same distance, there is also Table 28, another fast-food option off the trail.
As you approach the midpoint of the hike, at around 1.03 kilometers from the start, you will reach Rackham Fountain, a beautiful water feature that adds to the charm of the surroundings. Alternatively, if you're looking for sustenance, American Coney Island is located nearby at the same distance.
