Welcome to the hiking route to Grasleitenspitze - Cima del Principe! This trail offers a challenging but rewarding experience through the stunning alpine landscape of the Dolomites.

Starting from the trailhead, located at a parking area, you will embark on an out-and-back journey that spans approximately 7.8 kilometers in total. The trail is rated as difficult due to its length and elevation gain of 675 meters, so be prepared for a physically demanding hike.

Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. Just 0.04 kilometers from the start, you will find Rifugio Vajolet, a cozy alpine hut where you can take a rest and enjoy the mountain views. As you continue up the trail, make sure to visit Rifugio Preuss, another alpine hut located 0.06 kilometers from the start.

Around the 2.13 kilometer mark, you will come across Rifugio Passo Principe - Grasleitenpasshütte, offering a chance to refuel and recharge before continuing your ascent. Further along the trail, at 2.14 kilometers, you will reach Passo Principe - Grasleitenpass, a picturesque mountain saddle worth a photo stop.

As you approach the 3.75 kilometer mark, keep an eye out for informative signposts providing insights into the local flora and fauna. Additionally, at 3.91 kilometers, you will be treated to panoramic views from the summit of Grasleitenspitze - Cima del Principe. For more stunning viewpoints, don't miss Valbonspitz - Cima Valbona and Seekogel - Cima del Lago located at 2.46 kilometers and 2.83 kilometers from the start, respectively.
