This hiking route in the area of Petz - Monte Pez is extremely difficult, covering a distance of 12.832 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1394 meters. The duration of the hike is estimated to be around 6 hours and 27 minutes.

Starting at the parking area, you will begin the hike along the trail, passing by various points of interest. About 5.78 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Schlernhaus - Rifugio Bolzano alpine hut, where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings. Further along the trail at approximately 2.94 kilometers in, you will come across the Schlernbödele Hütte - Rifugio Malghetta Sciliar alpine hut, offering another opportunity for rest.

Midway through the hike, at around 6.42 kilometers, you will reach the Petz - Monte Pez viewpoint, providing stunning views of the area. As you continue on, approximately 5.27 kilometers in, you will pass by an information point for additional insights into the surroundings.

At the end of the route, about 1.3 kilometers from the starting point, you will find the Tomleg picnic site, ideal for a well-deserved break before heading back. Along the way back, consider stopping at the benches located at 5.79 kilometers to relax and take in the scenery.
