Hiking : Völseggspitze - Monte Balzo

This challenging hiking route will take you to the stunning Völseggspitze - Monte Balzo peak in the beautiful alpine region. The trail is an out-and-back type, spanning a distance of approximately 8.2 kilometers with an elevation gain of 604 meters.

Starting from the trailhead, you will embark on a journey through picturesque landscapes and diverse terrain. Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. At the beginning of the hike, you will come across a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before setting off on the trail. As you make your way up the trail, you will pass by an alpine hut - Schutzhaus Tschafon - Rifugio Monte Cavone, offering a perfect spot to rest and refuel.

Further along the hike, you will reach the Völseggspitze - Monte Balzo peak, providing breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. You can also stop by Berggasthaus Schönblick, a restaurant offering a cozy ambiance and delicious local cuisine.

Throughout the hike, you will also encounter various benches and viewpoints where you can pause to take in the natural beauty of the area. Additionally, there are information points along the trail to provide insight into the region's history and flora.
