This extremely difficult hiking route will take you through the stunning scenery of the Schlern Massif in the Italian Dolomites. The trail spans a distance of 11.6 kilometers and includes an elevation gain of 1321 meters. It is estimated to take around 6 hours to complete.
As you begin your journey, you will come across a convenient parking area at the trailhead. Be sure to start early and bring plenty of water and snacks, as this is a challenging hike that requires stamina and preparation.
Midway through the hike, you will reach the Schlernbödele Hütte, where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments at the alpine hut. Continuing on, you will encounter the Tomleg picnic site, a perfect spot to rest and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
As you make your way back, you will pass by the Schlernhaus - Rifugio Bolzano, where you can stop for a well-deserved meal before completing the hike. Along the trail, you will also find information points and benches for a brief respite.
