This hiking route takes you through the stunning area around Pic Permayou. With a distance of 15.113 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1451 meters, this extremely difficult route is not for the faint of heart.
You'll start your journey at the parking area, which is conveniently located right at the beginning of the trail. As you make your way through the rugged terrain, be sure to stop and admire the Cascade de Boulistre, a beautiful waterfall just 0.56 kilometers from the start.
Further along the trail, at around 3.83 kilometers from the start, you'll come across the Cabane d'Escurets, a shelter where you can take a rest and soak in the magnificent views. Just a bit further, at 4.28 kilometers, you'll reach the Col d'Iseye, a saddle that offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
At the midway point of the hike, approximately 7.56 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Pic Permayou, a majestic peak that rewards you with breathtaking vistas. Be sure to take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the Ronglet peak, located 6.25 kilometers from the start.
Throughout the hike, you'll also encounter several information points where you can learn more about the area's history and geology. Keep an eye out for the Cabane de Lapassa, another shelter located 1.99 kilometers from the trail.
