This challenging hiking route takes you along the Strada Forestale Zampiero, offering stunning views of the surrounding area. With a total distance of 7.477 kilometers and an elevation gain of 170 meters, this hike is perfect for those looking for a bit of a workout.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by the Rifugio Larici da Alessio, a cozy alpine hut, just 0.02 kilometers from the start. Along the way, you will come across several water sources, making it important to stay hydrated throughout the hike. These water points are located at various distances from the trail, with the closest one being 1.74 kilometers from the start.
As you continue on the trail, you will also encounter the Rifugio Val Formica, another alpine hut located 0.61 kilometers from the start, providing a great resting spot with a beautiful view.
