The route spans a distance of 14.442 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1371 meters, making it an extremely difficult trail that requires physical endurance and stamina.

As you begin your journey, you will pass by notable points of interest such as Lago di Cima d'Asta, located 6.15 kilometers from the starting point. This beautiful lake provides a picturesque backdrop for your hike. Further along the trail, you will encounter Cima d'Asta, a majestic peak standing at 7.22 kilometers from the trailhead.

For those in need of a rest, Rifugio Cima d'Asta Ottone Brentari is conveniently situated 6.03 kilometers into the hike. This alpine hut offers a place to rejuvenate and refuel before continuing on your trek. Additionally, Malga Sorgazza provides a parking area at the starting point, along with Rifugio Malga Sorgazza for a dining option just 0.03 kilometers from the trailhead.

Throughout the hike, you will also come across various amenities such as water sources at Bacino di Sorgazza and Monumento ai caduti 1915-18, as well as informational points at Bivacco Cavinato and Ponte Val Vendrame that offer insights into the surrounding area.
