This hiking route takes you through the beautiful Märchensteig area, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The route is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 1.454 kilometers and an elevation gain of 35 meters, making it super easy in terms of difficulty.

As you start your hike, you will come across the Parkplatz Hochstein-Hütte, where you can conveniently park your vehicle. Continuing along the trail, at around 0.08 kilometers from the start, you will find a drinking water point for a quick refreshment.

Around 0.18 kilometers into the hike, there is a bench where you can take a moment to rest and enjoy the surrounding nature. Moving forward, at 0.34 kilometers, you will reach the Hochsteinhütte, a restaurant and alpine hut where you can grab a delicious meal or snack.

Further along the trail, at 0.58 kilometers, another bench is available for a brief stop. As you approach the midway point of the hike, at 0.73 kilometers, there is a viewpoint that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

At 0.72 and 0.34 kilometers from the start, you will find additional benches for resting and taking in the scenery. Towards the end of the hike, at 1.37 kilometers, there is another drinking water point for your convenience.
