This extremely difficult 12.004-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the breathtaking landscapes around Gritschlacken. The trail has an elevation gain of 715 meters and is estimated to take around 4 hours and 34 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across points of interest such as the Gritschhütte shelter, located 5.62 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Along the way, you will encounter several natural springs for refreshing pit stops, with one of them being 2.05 kilometers into the hike. Keep an eye out for the Lexerseabl, a picturesque spot located 1.48 kilometers from the start, though slightly off the trail.
For those interested in history, you will find wayside crosses and benches at various points along the trail, providing opportunities to rest and take in the surroundings. As you approach the midpoint of the hike, you'll reach the Felsspalt shelter, offering a serene spot to relax before continuing your journey.
