This extremely difficult 12.069-kilometer hike to Steinrastl begins with a parking area near Seilbahn Golzentipp. As you start your journey, you'll pass by restaurants like Unterwöger and Pizzeria Weberstube, where you can grab a bite to eat before continuing. About 1.41 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach Jausenstation Mitterdorfer, another dining option along the trail.
As you make your way towards Steinrastl, you'll encounter a peak called Steinrastl around the 6.03-kilometer mark. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding area. Along the route, there are also drinking water stations available, so make sure to stay hydrated during your trek.
The trail is an out-and-back type, meaning you'll retrace your steps on the way back. With an elevation gain of 867 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure.
