Welcome to the hiking route at Montagne de Mare! This route is a circular trail that spans approximately 7.76 kilometers with an elevation gain of 612 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike. The estimated duration of the hike is about 3 hours and 20 minutes.

As you begin your journey, you will come across Le Lézard Vert, a restaurant located just 0.06 kilometers from the start of the trail. This is a great spot to grab a bite to eat or refuel before continuing on your adventure.

As you make your way through the trail, you will encounter a wayside cross located midway through the hike. This historic site is a perfect place to take a moment to appreciate the surroundings and the history of the area.

About 2.22 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Col de Verdun, a saddle that offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. This is a great spot to take a break and soak in the beauty of the area.

Towards the end of the hike, approximately 3.52 kilometers into the trail, you will reach the peak of Montagne de Mare. This is the highest point of the hike and offers panoramic views that make the challenging journey worth it.
