This extremely difficult hiking route takes you through the stunning terrain of Chabre Sud 1. With a distance of 13.814 kilometers and an elevation gain of 763 meters, this challenging trail is not for the faint of heart. The estimated duration for this hike is 5 hours and 6 minutes, so be prepared for a long and strenuous journey.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your adventure towards Chabre Sud 1. Along the way, you will pass by various points of interest. About 0.31 kilometers from the start, you will come across a picturesque picnic site where you can take a break and refuel.
As you continue onwards, you will encounter informative signs about the complex ecosystem of La rivière un écosystème complexe and Ribiers Val de Méouge. These signs are located around 0.32 kilometers from the starting point. Additionally, you will find a bench at the same location where you can rest while taking in the beautiful surroundings.
Around 0.9 kilometers from the start, you will find a drinking water station to quench your thirst before tackling the remaining distance. Further ahead, at the 6.56-kilometer mark, you will reach the peak of Les Esparrons, offering breathtaking views of the area.
For adrenaline junkies, there are free-flying sites for both takeoff and landing along the trail. Chabre Sud 2 is located 6.61 kilometers from the starting point, while Chabre Sud 1 is situated 6.91 kilometers away.
