This challenging hiking route follows the Piste C13 trail in Garde-Colombe. The trail is an out-and-back route with a total distance of 11.276 kilometers and an elevation gain of 372 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 3 hours and 32 minutes to complete.
Starting at the parking area located at the trailhead, hikers will pass by the historic ruins of an ancient structure just a short distance from the start. As you continue on the trail, you will come across two water sources at 5.52 and 5.64 kilometers from the beginning, providing a refreshing spot to rest and refill your water supply.
Further along the route, at around 3.83 kilometers from the start, you will reach Col de Fon Frede, a natural saddle with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. This makes for a great turnaround point for those looking for a shorter hike.
