This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Sentiero dei Briganti, offering stunning views and natural landmarks along the way. The trail is a circular route with a total distance of 11.846 kilometers and an elevation gain of 433 meters, making it a difficult hike that will challenge both your stamina and endurance.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area at the beginning of the trail. Make sure to pack enough water and snacks for the hike, as well as check the weather forecast before heading out.
About 3.24 kilometers into the hike, you will find a picnic site called Acquatremola, where you can take a break and enjoy a meal surrounded by nature. Continuing on, at around 5.78 kilometers, you will reach a natural water source, providing a refreshing spot to refill your water bottles.
As you trek further, at approximately 5.64 kilometers, there is a viewpoint that offers panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscape. Another viewpoint can be found at 4.5 kilometers into the hike, providing even more breathtaking sights.
Near the midway point of the trail, at 1.62 kilometers, you will encounter the Fontana di Monte Pelato, a fountain where you can rest and rehydrate. Additionally, at 1.66 kilometers, there is another fountain named M. Pelato, offering another spot to replenish your water supply.
Towards the end of the trail, at 0.04 kilometers from the start, you will find Fontana Impieso, another fountain to take a break before finishing the hike.
Although there is a peak named Monte Pelato at 1.73 kilometers from the trail, it is not directly accessible from the path. Therefore, it is recommended to admire it from a distance rather than attempting to climb it.
