This hiking route takes you through the stunning area around Cabane de Peyrehitte on the Chemin de Peyrahitte. With a total distance of 10.34 kilometers and an elevation gain of 685 meters, this hike is rated as difficult and is expected to take around 4 hours and 6 minutes to complete.

Starting at the parking area located at the trailhead, you will make your way towards the first point of interest, a drinking water source at the beginning of the trail. Be sure to fill up your water bottles here before continuing on. As you hike, you will come across the Cabane de Saunères, a wilderness hut located 3.27 kilometers from the start of the trail. This is a great spot to take a break, enjoy the views, and maybe even stay overnight if you're planning a multi-day trek.

Further along the trail at the 5.17 kilometer mark, you will find the Cabane de Peyrehitte, another wilderness hut with shelter facilities. This is a good turnaround point for an out-and-back hike, allowing you to rest before heading back to the starting point. In the same vicinity, there is a water source just a short distance away, providing a convenient place to refill your supplies.

Although some of the points of interest are not directly on the trail, they are worth checking out if you have the time. The Gîte d'étape GR10, an alpine hut, and a shelter facility are located near the trail and offer additional amenities for hikers.
