This extremely difficult hiking route will take you to the stunning Cap de Leitàs in the beautiful area surrounding the peak. The 19.495-kilometer trail has an elevation gain of 1451 meters and a duration of approximately 8 hours and 8 minutes.
As you start your journey, you will come across the historic Castèth dera Castèra castle, located just 0.88 kilometers from the trail. Moving forward, at the beginning of the trail, you will find the parking area, followed by the informative Sant Joan Crisòstom point at 1.18 kilometers. Along the way, keep an eye out for the Zona Trail information points scattered at various distances from the trail.
Midway through the hike, you will reach the Còth de Bedurt saddle and the Malh deth Chuc peak. Further ahead, at 8.26 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the Penha des Clòts de Coma peak. Don't miss the Còth de Fontfreda saddle and the Tuc de Pontner peak as you continue your trek towards the Cap de Leitàs.
For your convenience, there are drinking water facilities at 1.18 kilometers and benches for resting at 0.77 and 1.18 kilometers from the start. Remember to stay hydrated and pack enough water for this challenging hike. It is also advisable to check the weather forecast beforehand and wear appropriate hiking gear.
