This hiking route takes you through the beautiful Luchonais region, offering stunning views and challenging terrain. The trail is an out-and-back route with a total distance of 20.405 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1575.0 meters, making it extremely difficult and suitable for experienced hikers.

Starting at the trailhead, you will come across the Cabane Salode at around 7.65 kilometers into the hike. This shelter provides a rest stop and a chance to refuel before continuing your journey. Further along the trail at 9.2 kilometers, you will find the Cabane de Mouscade, another shelter for hikers to take a break.

As you push forward, at 10.2 kilometers, you will reach the Étang de Dessus, a beautiful water feature perfect for a scenic rest stop. Continuing on, at 9.67 kilometers, you will pass by the Étang de Dessous, offering another picturesque spot to rest and enjoy the surroundings.

Additionally, there is a parking area conveniently located at the beginning of the trail, making it easy to access. If you're looking for a meal after your hike, the Ferme Auberge Chez Justau is located 4 kilometers from the start point and offers a delicious dining option.
