This extremely difficult hiking route will take you through the stunning Barracomica area. The trail spans a distance of 15.895 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1291 meters, so be prepared for a challenging trek.
Starting at the parking area near Cabana de Pèirahita, you'll begin your journey through the rugged terrain. The first point of interest you'll encounter is the Refugi forestau dera Honeria, a cozy alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the picturesque surroundings. As you continue on, you'll come across Pas dera Potèrla, a scenic saddle that offers breathtaking views of the landscape.
Around midway through the hike, you'll reach Barracomica peak and Còth de Barracomica saddle, both providing a perfect vantage point to admire the beauty of the area. Make sure to stop by the spring at 4.25 kilometers from the start to refill your water supply.
On the way back, you can explore Era Val de Toran, an ethnological heritage site, and learn about the local culture. Don't forget to check out the information points along the trail, such as Era Honeria and GR 211, to enrich your hiking experience.
