This hiking route takes you through a challenging but rewarding trail in the stunning area of GR R3. With a total distance of 16.069 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1595 meters, this hike is classified as extremely difficult and is recommended for experienced hikers.
You will start your journey at the parking area, where you can prepare for your adventure. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across several points of interest. At approximately 3.66 kilometers into the hike, you will reach a beautiful viewpoint where you can pause to admire the scenery.
Further along the trail, at around 6.29 kilometers, you will encounter another viewpoint offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area. As you continue, you will pass by the Tisanerie des 3 Salazes, a quaint cafe where you can take a break and refuel.
At the 6.23 kilometer mark, you will find a drinking water station to stay hydrated during your journey. Additionally, there are several campsites and shelters along the trail where you can rest if needed.
One of the highlights of the hike is the panoramic viewpoint overlooking Marla and La Nouvelle at approximately 4.73 kilometers into the trail. This spot is perfect for taking in the beauty of the landscape.
Throughout the hike, you will also come across various information points and picnic sites where you can learn more about the area and enjoy a peaceful break.
