This hiking route, R2, is located in a beautiful area with stunning natural scenery. With a total distance of 12.126 kilometers and an elevation gain of 958.0 meters, this route is labeled as extremely difficult, so be prepared for a challenging trek.
As you start your hike, you will come across a parking area at the beginning of the trail. Make sure to pack plenty of water and snacks before embarking on this journey. Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. Approximately 5.89 kilometers from the start, you will find the 'Bassin la Noix' water feature, offering a serene spot to rest and enjoy the surroundings.
At the 4.7-kilometer mark, there is a natural spring named 'Eau' where you can refill your water supply. As you continue on, 6.06 kilometers into the hike, you will reach a viewpoint with panoramic views of the area. Adjacent to the viewpoint is the 'La Bonne Terre' campsite for those looking to spend the night in the wilderness.
Further along the trail, at about 5.85 kilometers from the start, you will come across a bench and informational signage providing insights about the area's history and landmarks. Additionally, there are multiple viewpoints offering breathtaking scenery, perfect for capturing memorable photos.
As this route is an out-and-back type, you will retrace your steps to the starting point after reaching the endpoint.
