This hiking route in the R2 area offers a challenging trek with a distance of 12.131 kilometers and an elevation gain of 958 meters, making it extremely difficult but rewarding for experienced hikers. Before starting the hike, ensure you have enough water and check the weather forecast as conditions can change quickly.
Starting at the parking area at the trailhead, hikers will make their way through dense forests and rocky terrain. Along the route, you will come across various points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will pass by "Bassin la Noix," a scenic water feature located 5.89 kilometers from the start.
As you continue on, about midway through the hike at 4.7 kilometers from the start, you will find "Eau," a refreshing spring to rest and replenish your water supply. Further along the trail at 6.07 kilometers from the start, you will reach a viewpoint where you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Near the endpoint of the hike at 5.02 kilometers from the start, you will encounter "Bord Bazar," a peak offering breathtaking views and a perfect spot to take a break before heading back. On your return journey, take in the sights at various viewpoints and information spots along the trail to learn more about the area's history and natural features.
