Welcome to the hiking route to Monte Gemmo! This circular route covers a distance of 12.602 kilometers with an elevation gain of 778 meters, making it extremely difficult but rewarding for experienced hikers.

Starting from the parking area at the trailhead, hikers will begin their journey towards Monte Gemmo. Along the way, at a distance of 4.49 kilometers from the start, you will come across a drinking water station to refill your bottles and stay hydrated.

Continuing on, at the 5.02 kilometer mark, there is an information point where you can learn more about the area and its history. A little further down the trail, at 5.13 kilometers, there is a picturesque picnic site perfect for a break and enjoying the views.

As you make your way towards the peak of Monte Gemmo, at the 6.07 kilometer mark, you will reach the summit where you can admire panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness. Nearby, you will find a wilderness hut named Rifugio at 3.46 kilometers from the start, providing accommodation for hikers looking to stay overnight.

On the way back, at 6.07 kilometers, there is a viewpoint offering stunning vistas of the terrain you have covered. It is crucial to bring enough water, snacks, and to check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging hike.
