Hiking : Monte Giuoco del Pallone

This challenging out-and-back hiking route will take you to the majestic Monte Giuoco del Pallone. The trail covers a distance of 10.548 kilometers with an elevation gain of 702 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding adventure.

Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey towards the peak of Monte Giuoco del Pallone. Along the way, you will pass by a picturesque saddle at 2.38 kilometers from the start, offering a brief moment of respite before continuing on your ascent.

As you approach the peak, around 5.27 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter a viewpoint where you can take in the stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, at 1.36 kilometers from the start, you will find Fonte Quagna, a spring with drinking water to replenish your supplies.

Continuing further, at 0.5 kilometers from the start, you will come across Cascata bassa, a beautiful waterfall that provides a tranquil spot to rest and enjoy the scenery. Along the trail, there are also several information points providing insights into the local flora, fauna, and geological features.

Finally, after a challenging trek, you will reach the peak of Monte Giuoco del Pallone, where you can take in the breathtaking views before retracing your steps back to the starting point.
