The trail begins at Auto-Parkplatz Wilderswil - Schynige Platte parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this picturesque journey.

As you start your adventure, you will pass by the Schönegg information point, where you can learn more about the area. Nearby, at the Hirschen restaurant, you can fuel up and grab a bite to eat before continuing on. Along the way, you will also come across the informative Steakhouse Steinbock restaurant, offering a delightful dining experience with stunning views.

At the beginning of the trail, you will find Gsteig Kirche, a historic church worth exploring. As you make your way up, be sure to stop by the viewpoints at 4.98 kilometers and 5.9 kilometers, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, there are benches scattered along the trail for you to take a break and soak in the beauty of the area.
