This challenging hiking route will take you through the stunning Bütschiport area, following the Hahnenmoosstrasse trail. The total distance of this out-and-back route is approximately 7.95 kilometers with an elevation gain of 366 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek.

As you start your hike, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find convenient parking spots to leave your vehicle. As you continue onwards, you'll pass by the Hotel des Alpes, where you can stop for a meal or a quick break.

Around 1.3 kilometers into the hike, you will reach a lovely picnic site where you can take a moment to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Further along the trail, at around 3.47 kilometers, you'll encounter interesting rock formations that add to the natural beauty of the area.

At the midway point, approximately 3.69 kilometers into the hike, you'll find the Alp Trachsel restaurant, a perfect spot to refuel and recharge before continuing your journey. Additionally, there are several information points scattered along the trail where you can learn more about the local area.
