This extremely difficult hiking route will take you to the breathtaking Schwarzhorn peak in a remote alpine area. The trail covers a distance of 22.661 kilometers with an elevation gain of 2309 meters, making it a challenging but rewarding adventure.

You will start your journey at the Gemmi Luftseilbahn, a popular attraction in the area. From there, the trail leads you through stunning alpine landscapes, passing by the Lämmerenhütte alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the views.

As you continue on, you will encounter several water sources for refilling your bottles, as well as picnic sites and benches along the way. Be sure to pack enough water and snacks for the long hike, and check the weather forecast before setting out.

Midway through the hike, you will reach the Rothornlücke saddle and Daube peak, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. From here, the trail gradually ascends towards the Schwarzhorn peak, where you can enjoy the sense of accomplishment and stunning vistas.

On your way back, you can stop by the Gemmipass saddle for a rest and refill your water supply at the drinking water stations along the trail. If you're in need of a hearty meal, the Walliserstube restaurant is located near the trailhead.

This out-and-back route is a true test of endurance and willpower, but the stunning natural beauty and sense of achievement at reaching the Schwarzhorn peak make it all worthwhile. Just remember to come prepared and stay safe on this challenging alpine adventure.
