Located in the Gurnigel region, the Gurnigel - MTB Freeridetrail offers a moderate hiking experience with a distance of 5.347 kilometers and an elevation gain of 365 meters. The route will take approximately 2 hours and 9 minutes to complete.

As you start your hike, you will come across a parking area conveniently located at the trailhead. Shortly after, at just 0.01 kilometers from the start, you will find a water source for you to refill your bottles.

Around the 1.48 kilometer mark, you will encounter the Schwarzenbachfall waterfall, adding a scenic touch to your journey. Information points like Gastern/Waldhaus and Waldhaus will provide you with interesting insights about the surroundings at 0.4 and 0.46 kilometers from the start, respectively.

As you continue on the trail, at 1.68 kilometers from the beginning, a picnic site awaits, offering a perfect spot to take a break and admire the views. Further along, at 2.67 kilometers, you will find another picnic site named Gurnigel, ideal for a rest stop.

On your way back, at the starting point, a bench is strategically placed for you to sit and relax after completing the hike.
