Welcome to the hiking route to Alto de las Saleras!
This circular route spans a distance of approximately 6.2 kilometers with an elevation gain of 246 meters, making it a moderate level hike that could take around 2 hours to complete.
Starting at the trailhead, hikers will first come across "La cabaña de Mariano" shelter located just 0.47 kilometers from the start, providing a cozy spot for a quick rest. Continuing on, at the very beginning of the trail, you will find a natural water source at 0 kilometers, perfect for refilling your bottles.
As you trek further, at around 1.14 kilometers into the hike, you will reach a stunning viewpoint known as "Fuente de la Teja", offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Nearby, there is also a picnic site for hikers to enjoy a meal amidst nature.
Around the midway point of the hike, at 3.02 kilometers, you will reach the "Alto de las Saleras" peak, the highest point of the trail, offering splendid views as a reward for your effort.
For those interested in history, there is a monument called "Monolito de Piedras" located off the trail, approximately 130 meters away, showcasing a piece of the area's past.
