This hiking route takes you through the historical area of تل القلعة, شارع ياقوت الحموي in Amman. The trail is an out-and-back type, spanning a distance of 1.153 kilometers with no elevation gain, making it super easy for hikers of all levels.

As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area about 0.0 kilometers from the trailhead. Continuing on, at 0.11 kilometers, you'll find a cafe where you can take a break and grab a snack. Along the way, you'll encounter several historic ruins, such as معبد هيراكليس at 0.26 kilometers and Byzantine church at 0.3 kilometers, providing a glimpse into the area's rich past.

Further along the trail at 0.37 kilometers, you'll reach Cistern Birka, a cistern with historical significance. As you approach the midway point of the hike, at 0.58 kilometers, you'll come across the Umayyad monumental gateway and residential units, adding to the historical charm of the route.
