This challenging 9.7 km circular trail will take you through the picturesque area surrounding the Plonteich. The trail starts at the Waldparkplatz, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this adventure.

As you begin your journey, you will pass by the Blockhütte restaurant, where you can stop for a quick bite to eat. Further along the trail, at around 2.4 km, you will come across the Genussplatz am Oberer Zinken viewpoint, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Throughout the hike, you will encounter several benches where you can take a rest and soak in the beautiful scenery. You will also find informative signs along the way, providing interesting facts about the area's history and wildlife.

At the midway point of the trail, approximately 4.8 km in, you will reach the Plonteich, a tranquil water feature perfect for a peaceful break. As you continue your journey, be sure to keep an eye out for the Bombenkrater aus dem 2. Weltkrieg, a crater from World War II, located around 1.8 km from the start.

The route is 9.7 km long with an elevation gain of 225 meters, making it a difficult hike that is best suited for experienced hikers. Be sure to bring plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before setting out.
