This challenging hiking route takes you through the stunning mountainous terrain of the area, offering breathtaking views along the way. The trail is an out-and-back type, starting at a parking area, making it convenient for hikers to access.

As you begin your journey, you will pass by the Bergerie de Grotelle and Bergerie de Melo, where you can grab a bite to eat and refuel before continuing on. About 2.2 kilometers from the start, you will come across the beautiful Lac de Melo, a perfect spot to take a break and admire the tranquil waters.

Further along the trail, at around 3.25 kilometers from the start, you will reach Lac de Capitello, another scenic lake surrounded by the rugged beauty of the mountains.

Midway through the hike, at approximately 4.56 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Bocca alle Porte, a picturesque saddle that offers panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.

Continuing on, at around 7.0 kilometers from the start, you will come across a refreshing spring, providing a much-needed opportunity to rest and rehydrate.

As you near the turnaround point of the hike, at 9.49 kilometers from the start, you will reach Brèche de Sorbo, a saddle that marks the end of the outward journey. From here, you can enjoy the stunning vistas before heading back along the same trail.

Throughout the hike, you will also pass by cafes and other amenities, ensuring that you have everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable trek.

With a total distance of 9.49 kilometers and an elevation gain of 842 meters, this hike is considered difficult and is best suited for experienced hikers.
