This hiking route takes you to the beautiful Roaring Brook Falls Upper Lookout, located in a scenic area with stunning views. The trail is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of 1.864 kilometers with an elevation gain of 112 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
As you begin your journey, you will pass by the Roaring Brook Parking Area, followed by the Ausable Club Parking Area, where reservations are required. Further along the trail, you will come across the Giant Mountain Wilderness Car Parking area, located about 0.33 kilometers from the start.
One of the highlights of the hike is the Roaring Brook Falls, a spectacular waterfall located 0.93 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Make sure to stop and admire the falls before continuing on your hike.
Along the way, you will also find the Roaring Brook Trail-Register, offering information about the trail and surrounding area. As you approach the endpoint of the trail, you will reach the Roaring Brook Falls Lower Lookout, offering a great vantage point to view the waterfall from a different perspective. Finally, you will reach the Roaring Brook Falls Upper Lookout, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the falls and surrounding landscape.
