This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Hautacam in Argeles-Gazost, following the Chemin des Berges du Gave trail. The trail is super easy, with a distance of 1.636 kilometers and no elevation gain, making it perfect for beginners or a leisurely stroll.
Starting at La Truite des Pyrénées, a charming farm shop where you can pick up some local goodies, the trail passes by a bench called Banc de bois where you can take a rest and enjoy the surrounding nature. As you continue, you'll come across several water points for a quick refill, with the closest one being just 39.6 meters away from the trail.
Along the way, you'll also find parking areas for your convenience. One is right on the trail, while the other is a bit further, 154.6 meters away. These can be useful if you're driving to the starting point.
The route is an out-and-back type, meaning you'll retrace your steps to return to the starting point. It's always a good idea to bring plenty of water, especially on warmer days, and to check the weather forecast before heading out. With its short distance and flat terrain, this hike is a relaxing way to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Hautacam area.
