This extremely difficult 12.4 km circular hiking route will take you through the stunning alpine landscape of the area surrounding Lago di Sasso.
As you begin your journey, you will come across the historical ruins of Sóste di Todeschìin, adding a touch of ancient history to your adventure. Further along the trail, at around 2.9 km from the start, you will pass by Laghetto degli Asini, a picturesque water feature perfect for a brief rest stop and to soak in the natural beauty of the surroundings.
Around the midway point of the hike, at approximately 4.78 km from the start, you will reach Rifugio Santa Rita, an alpine hut where you can refuel and take in panoramic views of the area. Continuing on, you will encounter various points of interest including Sóste di Rolàt ruins, Böc dól Rat saddle, and Ristoro Malga Artino restaurant, offering a mix of historical and sustenance options along the way.
Throughout the hike, there are multiple drinking water sources available to fill up your water bottles and stay hydrated. Additionally, be sure to check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging journey and pack accordingly.
