This extremely difficult hiking route covers a distance of 19.534 kilometers with an elevation gain of 615 meters and a duration of approximately 6 hours. The route is an out-and-back trail that leads to the destination of Rifugio Sambucito.

Starting the hike, you will come across a parking area at the beginning of the trail. As you progress 1.69 kilometers along the route, you will pass by the ruins of Chiesa Madonna delle Grazie. Approximately 2.67 kilometers into the hike, there is a drinking water source available to refill your water bottles.

Continuing on, at 5.65 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Fontana Alfonsi, a natural spring where you can rest and replenish your water supply. The trail then leads you to Rifugio Sambucito, an alpine hut located 9.77 kilometers from the starting point.

Additionally, Fontana Sambucito, another natural spring, can be found nearby Rifugio Sambucito, providing another opportunity to hydrate before heading back.
