The Roberts Point Track is a moderate 6.6-kilometer out-and-back hiking route that offers stunning views and several points of interest along the way.
Beginning at the Alex Knob Carpark, hikers will pass by Hende's Hut, a historic shelter located 2.88 kilometers from the start. This makes for a great spot to take a break and learn about the area's history. As you continue along the trail, you'll come across a beautiful waterfall 2.2 kilometers into the hike, providing a picturesque backdrop for a rest stop.
Around the midway point at 2.85 kilometers, there is a bench where you can sit and enjoy the surrounding scenery. Further along the trail, at 0.82 kilometers from the start, you'll reach a viewpoint that offers panoramic views of the landscape.
As you near the endpoint of the hike, there are three more viewpoints to visit, each offering unique perspectives of the surrounding area. These viewpoints are located at 3.16, 3.26, and 3.3 kilometers from the start, providing a great way to end the hike on a high note.
With a total elevation gain of 351 meters, hikers should be prepared for some uphill sections, but the moderate difficulty level makes this hike accessible to most fitness levels. Remember to bring plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before setting out on the Roberts Point Track.
