This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area near the River and Glacier viewpoint. The trail is super easy, making it suitable for hikers of all levels. As you start your journey, you'll come across various points of interest along the way.

As you continue, you'll pass by bicycle parking areas and informational signs about Sentinel Rock and other walks in the area. About halfway through the hike, you'll encounter benches where you can take a break and enjoy the serene surroundings.
Further along the trail, you'll have the opportunity to explore the Franz Josef Glacier up close. Informational signs provide insights into the glacier's history and daily updates on its current status. You can also admire the Kā Roimata o Hine Hukatere, also known as The Franz Josef Glacier, a breathtaking sight to behold.
Towards the end of the trail, you'll reach a River and Glacier viewpoint, offering spectacular views of the natural landscape. Wilson Rock is another point of interest in this area, providing a distinctive geological feature to observe.
