This hiking route leads to Sentinel Rock, an iconic viewpoint in the area. The trail is relatively short, with a distance of 1.155 kilometers and an elevation gain of 35 meters, making it super easy in terms of difficulty.

Starting at the parking area, you will follow the trail and pass by a bicycle parking spot just 0.03 kilometers from the start. Midway through the hike, at around 0.58 kilometers from the beginning, you will reach Sentinel Rock, a popular viewpoint offering stunning vistas of the surroundings.

Along the way, you will also come across informational points such as "Sentinel Rock and other walks near here" at 0.31 kilometers, "Reading the glacier's memoirs" at 0.57 kilometers, "Franz Josef Glacier daily update" at 0.08 kilometers, "The Franz Josef Glacier" at 0.57 kilometers, and "A shadow of its former self…" at 0.58 kilometers. Additionally, benches for resting can be found at 0.43 and 0.03 kilometers into the hike.
