This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views of Sentinel Rock. The trail is super easy, covering a distance of 1.155 kilometers with an elevation gain of 35 meters, making it suitable for hikers of all levels.

As you start your journey, you will come across a convenient parking area right at the beginning of the trail. Approximately 0.03 kilometers from the start, there is a bicycle parking area available for those cycling to the trailhead.

About 0.31 kilometers into the hike, you will find information about Sentinel Rock and other nearby walks. Continuing onward, at 0.43 kilometers, there is a bench where you can take a rest and soak in the surroundings.

Midway through the hike, at around 0.58 kilometers, you will reach Sentinel Rock, a notable viewpoint offering mesmerizing panoramic views. Here, you can also find information boards providing insights about the area, including the daily updates on Franz Josef Glacier.

As you make your way back, at 0.57 kilometers, you will encounter more information points such as "Reading the glacier's memoirs" and "A shadow of its former self…" offering interesting facts about the glacier.
