This extremely difficult 16.991-kilometer out-and-back hiking route leads to the stunning destination of La Scknela. The area you will be exploring is surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes and offers a challenging adventure for experienced hikers.

As you start your journey, you will come across several points of interest along the trail. About 1.31 kilometers from the start, you will find a water feature followed by another water source at 1.05 kilometers. For those driving to the trailhead, there are parking areas located 2.25 kilometers from the beginning.

Continuing on, you will encounter more water sources, a wilderness hut named Bivacco Bartolomeo Longa at the 6.6-kilometer mark, and additional parking areas along the way. Information points, wayside shrines, and drinking water sources are also scattered throughout the route to provide assistance and historical context.

As you make your way towards La Scknela, take a moment to appreciate the memorial Targa Via dei Canali about 8.13 kilometers into the hike. Finally, upon reaching your destination, be sure to enjoy the breathtaking viewpoint of La Scknela, located at 8.5 kilometers from the start.

With an elevation gain of 1986 meters, this hike presents a significant challenge in terms of both distance and altitude.
