Welcome to the hiking route to Piccolo Altare!

This challenging and extremely difficult 9.873-kilometer trail will take you through the beautiful alpine area of the destination. The route has an elevation gain of 1211 meters, promising breathtaking views and a true test of your hiking abilities.

As you start your journey, you'll come across the "Posto tappa gta" alpine hut, located just 0.07 kilometers from the trail. This is a great spot to take a rest or enjoy the surroundings. Along the way, you'll encounter the "Rifugio Axerio" shelter around the 4.73-kilometer mark, providing a perfect resting place with its close proximity to the trail.

At the summit, at 4.94 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach the "Piccolo Altare" peak, offering panoramic views that make the tough journey worth it. Additionally, you'll pass by the "Colle del Piccolo Altare" saddle, a unique natural formation that adds to the charm of the trail.

For your convenience, there are several facilities available along the trail, including parking areas, drinking water sources, and even a restaurant named "Antico Albergo Alpino" for a post-hike meal. It's recommended to carry enough water, snacks, and proper hiking gear due to the trail's difficulty level.
