This hiking route is located in a beautiful area with stunning views and challenging terrain. With a distance of 12.595 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1515 meters, this hike is categorized as extremely difficult and is recommended for experienced hikers.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by a parking area before reaching an alpine hut called Rifugio Gaspare Oberto - Paolo Maroli, located approximately 5.71 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy a meal while taking in the surroundings.
Continuing on, you will come across Lago Smeraldo, a picturesque lake situated 5.75 kilometers from the start. This is a perfect place to relax and soak in the natural beauty of the area.
As you trek further, you will encounter Monte-Moro-Pass - Passo di Monte Moro, a saddle point located around 5.88 kilometers from the start. This marks a significant point in the hike with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
