The Hippo Trail is a super easy hiking route located in the beautiful Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary. With a total distance of 1.808 kilometers and no elevation gain, this leisurely stroll is perfect for all skill levels.
As you start your hike, you will come across the Hippo Haunt Restaurant & Bar and the Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary parking lot, both located just 0.2 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Further along the route, approximately 0.9 kilometers from the start, you will find a refreshing water source to replenish your supplies.
For nature enthusiasts, the Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, home to a variety of animal species, including hippos, is just 0.2 kilometers away from the trail. Make sure to keep an eye out for wildlife as you enjoy your hike.
As this is an out-and-back route, you will pass by these points of interest again on the way back.
